Does Mercedes Permit Third Party Lease Buyout?

Does Mercedes Permit Third Party Lease Buyout?
While the lease on my 2021 GLE350W4 has another year to go, the value will no doubt be far greater than the residual. A friend was able to negotiate a buyout by a MB dealer of the lease on his Subaru with balance being applied to his lease of a GLB. So we can be pretty certain that Subaru allows third party buyout. BMW does not allow third party buyout. Anyone know about MB? Based on what Carvana quote for a car equipped like mine, I could sell them the car and after the buyout I'd walk away with about $10K.

They do not. You would have to purchase out your lease before being able to sell to a third party.

At today's used car prices, could still buy the car, pay tax, title and registration and then turn around and sell to Carvana still at a profit.

I am in a similar boat but I have a little less than 2 years left on my lease. It seems like the 2021 GLE is holding its value very well in this market.

And if you choose to trade in the car, you will not pay the sales tax on the trade in, so no double tax (in the states I am aware of).
