However, that’s still not an excuse for this thing to leave the factory the way it did. Whether I purchased it or not, the simple fact of the matter it QUICKLY developed into a bucket no matter who purchased it. Is that my fault? You want to insult me for buying it because of one rattle? Be careful what you say.
I have owned a total of one MB product in my life. My daily driver Jeep made by Daimler/ Chrysler is as close to previous experience I have. However, everyone I have known that has ever owned MB has been highly satisfied with quality, craftsmanship and durability. I am totally satisfied with the quality of my (to some) high mileage used SL. You are the first person that I have ever heard bash the brand because of one bad example that you could and should have walked away from. If you think that having these facts pointed out to you is an insult directed in your direction then I am sorry to have offended your delicate, thin skin. The truth remains that when the price is coming out of your pocket, you have final control over your purchase. No sympathy from me.

You should be looking for some from the dealership you bought this car from. What have you done with them to see that your problems are corrected? I would like to believe you are smart enough and determined enough to stand at their door and complain as loudly as possible until you are able to leave satisfied.

Frenetic, you know he's right...right?

Complaining about it here is just pissing in the wind. You need to be raising holy hell with your dealer...that's the only way you're going to get this resolved -- the squeaky wheel is the one that gets the grease. You paid over a $100K for it...so demand they keep it until it's fixed and give you a loaner.

He’s right about what? The fact that I freaking hate going to the dealership? I’ve been there three freaking times within the first four months of buying this and I’m not going back again until it either leaves me stranded or my next service where I know they won’t fix everything. I didn’t spend $100k+ for this thing to inconvenience me. It’s my car and I can complain if I want to.

He is right that if you actually want it fixed, you need to be complaining to your dealer. Moreover, you don't have to go to the dealership, demand they come pick it up in your driveway and leave you a loaner so you're not inconvenienced, after all you paid $100K for it. So you complained 3 times...complain and document as many times as is necessary (to the service department manager) to get the issues fixed.

The simple truth is, complaining about it here won't fix the issues with your GLE. You're free to keep complaining if makes you feel better; but if it were me, it would make me feel better to get the issues resolved so I could start enjoying it. If the dealer/Mercedes can fix it I'd lemon law it -- point being, either way, that will require action on your part, not words.

Yeah that’s not happening. They’re not going to pick it up. Loaners are two+ months out as well. We’ll see how it goes when I do bring it in. I have a laundry list of broken items saved up for my first major service in July. Complaining is my only recourse (for now) for pissing me off.

If your dealer Can't/Won't help you, take the step of calling the attached number. From the comfort of your easy chair you can cry, scream and ***** to your hearts content. They will contact and chastise your dealer to correct any and all problems to your ultimate satisfaction. Good Luck.

Back to the center console.
Did we ever determine what part of the armrest creaked?
Was it the latch or hinge or button, or what?

Well stated Rock! Looking for input about issues or researching is what forums are all about. Those that keyboard warrior people who they don’t know should know better and act with manners.

My brand new ‘22 AMG GLE 63S has the sound indicated slightly and it is clearly the latching mechanism of the doors on the armrest. It should not do it and is going on a list for first service. Should be a simple fix or replacement of part.
