Front Tow Hook License Plate Bracket For 2022 GLE 350

Hey Guys,

Do any of you use a front tow hook license plate bracket for your 2020+ GLE 350?

I had a Tow Hook Bracket for my 2020 GLC 300 that I removed before I sold it back to Mercedes. It appears to fit my 2022 GLE 350 just fine. There is however one problem, the tow hook cover on the GLE 350 is huge! If I use the bracket I have now it will cover up the huge gaping hole but from the top you can see an open space on the bumper.

If anyone has any experience with this or photos or even a company that sells a better tow hook bracket let me know. Other wise I’m thinking about buying a new tow hook cover and drilling a hole into the section where I can slide the mounting pipe through for a seamless look.

Do a search…there’s a thread, not on tow hook but another type that can be removed. Maybe Greg (has one) will add more details.

Here is my solution to avoiding the big ugly plastic mount - let's the line of the chrome strip run through uninterrupted. At the time I had to adapt a bracket for the W166; Sto n Sho now has one for the V167 (https://stonsho.com/front-license-pl...ackage-sns268/).

Hey, I am using this one, it fits a little funny but if you adjust it perfectly which means just a minor tilt which is almost not noticeable unless you have crazy ocd or you can let the sensors chew your ears out. Here’s the link a little pricey though but def worth it.

the hole you cannot cover but you’d just have to make peace with it. Can’t notice it unless your standing on the side of the car or on top

I would think you could drill out a cover to just fit the mount?

that is actually not such a bad idea. Drill the tow hook cover. I’m okay with the little square hole I feel like it doesn’t look bad 😂. But please post some picks if you decide to get it done

I have the Sto n Sho mount as shown in post 3, which IMO looks better than the off center solution.
