Mirror Cap Replacement
Anyone replace their mirror caps? My car came without the night package, which is something I really wanted, but I’m going to do it myself. The only reason I compromised on this purchase was because it had the high-end Burmester, which is awesome.
Anyone have any purchase recommendations and has anyone done it themselves and care to share some tips? Thanks.

Thanks. I actually found the part number for the left and right side and I will be ordering OEM ones. They make aftermarket carbon fiber ones for a bit more, but I prefer the simple black OEM ones. I found a lot of YouTube videos on how to do this for different models, but none of ours. Maybe I'll film myself breaking my mirror in my newbie attempt at this lol.

You were able to order them in body color? You sure its not black plastic vs the gloss black paint? You would have OEM mirrors if a body shop paints them still. Just painted OEM mirrors.

If you look at the part list it shows mirror covers in various body colors. While the black one is discontinued, they are still available from some retailers.

I think your car looks stunning as it is.
More to the point though, maybe you should try blacking out some of the stuff temporarily, to see the overall effect of black trim on a white car.
I've seen a few of those, and IMO they look Goofy, trying to hard to look like something that they aren't.

I like the look of the car you got and would have made the same choice you did. If you tint the windows the black mirrors look good. I think I would not go after the full night package. I chose it on my white GLE because they are a little heavy handed with the chrome these days.
