Dash Cam Install
I installed a dash cam. It’s a Nextbase 522GW. It’s ok, but one drawback is that I can’t connect to it with my phone if Wi-Fi is in use (I would have to disconnect it), but since this car doesn’t have wireless CarPlay, it’s not an issue, lol.
I did not hardwire it; like my BMW I simply tucked the wires to the rear passenger USB-c port for power. I prefer it this way as that port only works if the car is running and—knowing the battery issues with this car—I can live without parking mode and the risk of another battery drain.
It literally took me 5 minutes and the wire is all neatly tucked away. I really didn’t even need to use my trim tool.
