Look at the rear left door glass partition trim piece. Mine had a small play and when I cleaned the glass area and when I hit the frame, it rattled a bit. I took felt tape and inserted around the bottom of the vertical trim piece. I also did it to the rear right door just in case. My opinion is that one clip was missing. Good luck with your issue.
Well, none of my troubleshooting has helped and on the way to the dealership today another rattle/buzzing developed ironically right as I was pulling up. I actually had the sense to record this one, at least a few seconds of it. It kind of sounds like it's from the ceiling near the visor area or the dashboard. I couldn't exactly tell. I also couldn't tell if it was a physical rattle or electronic buzzing. You'll have to turn the volume up.
The noise in the clip you have was different than the squeaking I was referring to. Mine was more metal on metal and not as consistent. In my case it was clearly the metal bar where the tilted seat would latch on to when in the locked and up (seated) position. If seat was tilted forward, not folded flat, the noise disappeared so it was the metal latching mechanism on the latch bar (seat base frame).
Also checked were the AMG lit threshold trim and trim pieces around door and pillar and those were not causing any noise issue.
Hope this can help anyone else with a similar issue..
Yeah that buzzing strangely went away on its own. It has not come back.
Most newer cars are so naturally quiet that even the tiniest noise gets amplified. I thought my car developed two additional rattles but were nothing more than items in the center console storage bin and my phone sitting in what would be the wireless charging area, where it can’t sit perfectly flush in there because of the chord.

My rattle has been solved. Took the car to the dealership and had the service tech drive with me. Thank goodness he could hear what I was hearing too (yes - I wasn't going crazy!). They had to replace both rear shocks/struts. Rattle is now gone!
One thing that annoys me a bit is the fact that Mercedes didn’t fully felt line the center console storage. Anything you store in there will rattle off the side walls.
I ended buying felt sheets and anti-slip rug pads to see which one works better lining those walls. The only reason I may try the anti slip because it has some self-adhesive properties.

My water bottles also bang around in the door pockets a bit, so I pack things around them too. It's a good place to keep a spare microfiber towel.
I believe your car is brand new, so maybe this isn't your problem. We just had an issue where there was a noise in the left rear. Tried to diagnose it by sitting back there. It would only appear in neighborhood and city streets. On the highway, it would disappear. Turned out to be a bad left rear shock. Both rears replaced under warranty at 25k miles.
I read this after discovering a rattle in my CPO 2020 GLE450 @25k miles & sure enough, both rear shocks replaced. Unfortunately its only one item on the growing list of warranty repairs I've had to complete on this car.... sorta regret getting the 2020 now.
Rear right speaker rattling (replaced)
Rear shocks rattling (replaced)
Washer fluid pump not working (replaced Twice)
Seats cracking (replaced cushion)
Weather trim falling off roof (replaced)
I pray the list stops there....

I think all MB shops are required to have 'Chassis Ears,' a set of four devices that magnetically fasten under the car to pinpoint noises. They talk to each other, you get a pinpoint location.
If they can't locate noises with a quick test drive, request the Chassis Ears.

Noise from the back
My 2020 GLE 350 has that rattle in the rear which is so hard to pinpoint.
I wish someone can tell me a good way to persuade the dealer for the repair!
Thank You!

I had a weird squeak that showed up in the fall. It was really annoying. It took me several weeks of pushing and holding different trim parts while driving to see if it would stop. I finally figured out it was my gas pedal slightly rubbing my all weather mats. The squeak started after I had my car detailed. These noises are annoying but can also be very difficult to pinpoint.

I use a stethoscope and replace the sound head with a 36" long brass tube.
I can sit in the backseat while someone else drives and pretty much listen all around the car by holding that tip anywhere I want.
Then I can switch seats to really zero in.
(Haven't had to do this on a Mercedes yet.)

These sounds really are very hard to pinpoint, so many things could be making them. I had a rattle in my front passenger seat. After a few days of trying I managed to isolate it and easily recreate it by hitting the seat with my hand. Turned out it was a loose cable in the seat (they are heated and ventilated). Easy fix while I waited.
In case it helps, I just posted a thread on how I easily fixed a rattle from my liftgate.

The wife's 580 has the same problem, took it into MBM, (MB of Melbourne, Fl.) and the lead tech and I went for a test ride, and he said it was one of the rear struts, and MB is replacing both of the rear struts. The tech asked it her truck had ever been on a truck lift, I said no as it only has 1100 miles on it, and if anyone lifted/raised it off the ground it would have been MBM. He said once they have been lifted, the strut is extended to full length and that causes strut(s) to start making the clunking noise. The new struts have a design change that will prevent this clunking noise from re-appearing. They ordered the new struts yesterday. I'll try to get some more specific failure analysis data from the tech/MBM when I talk to them again, probably today...
