Wheel spacers?

I am considering wheel spacers to bring the rear wheel/tire in line with the fender-flares. I have staggered 21" and it bothers me when I see the tire living inside the flares.
I measured and it would take 30mm in order to be flush. That seems like an awful lot so thinking of 25mm. Thoughts?

Here a company that specializes in spacers for Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

25 should be the absolute maximum. I prefer to stay to 12, but that's not scientific. Of course you would need extended length lug bolts as well, which in the past were hard to come by, but probably more available now.

Greg, are you running spacers at all? Both you and I have the same spec GLE. I'm going 25mm on the rears. The set I'm getting are on the link below which include bolts to the hub. The originals, bolt on to the spacers which is how I have it on the Audi TT.

These are 100% refundable so I will give it a go. Will do the fronts, which are smaller, pending results.

Are you sure it fits a V167? Check your bolt sizes.

For something so critical I would be cautious sacrificing quality, $40 wheel spacers seems too low. I had Bloxsport (which is apparently the same company Greg listed above based on their website About Us) on my old Tesla and it came highly recommended from that community. They definitely felt quality in hand too. Remember these are what your wheels are bolted to directly, would you trust your 4,600+lb vehicle on these cheaper spacers, I feel quality lugbolts alone cost more than that.

I agree. I'd be taking the Slow Lane if I wore those.

Mikapen had a point - that spacer and those lugs are not correct for your car. Those appear to be for a W166 with aftermarket wheels. You need M15 x 1.25 with R14 ball seat lug bolts, not M14 x 1.50 conical seat lugs. So likely the spacer holes are not the right size either. And note that the price is only for one spacer - they are usually sold in pairs.

The spacer, as long as it's hubcentric, is no doing much work, so the quality is less important than that of the bolts.

I am running 12mm spacers on the rear only with my W166 Winter wheels just to bring them to stock W167 specs. I had to drill out W166 spacers and get custom Ti lugs, but that was 3 years ago. I do not have any on V167 21s.

Go here for spacers & lugs: https://www.otisincla.com/ - US & Euro products only; no Chinese. I checked and they have V167 fitment, though I didn't find them on the website. Call Phil @ 855.684.7462, or email sales@otisincla.com,
This is from Phil, "The bolts are made by the same people that make the OEM Mercedes locks. The spacers have larger holes to accommodate the "bump" in the shank on the lug bolts."

Thank you Raptor.
I am looking to buy these as per your specifications. I noticed, however, this company is in Australia. I am concerned if any issues such as vibration, how would they handle any requests or if something needs to be returned, etc. Have you had any issues with yours?

My wheels are also 22'

Call Phil in LA per the contact I posted in #9. US made spacers and lugs made by same people that make Mercedes wheel locks.

@djgiovanni I had zero issues with the spacers and lug bolt install and am extremely happy with the product. Quality was top notch, fitment was perfect and I have zero vibration.

I torqued all bolts per Merc specs and rechecked at 500miles.

FYI…shipping took about a week

ok so I got my wife a 202 GLE450 recently & absolutely love the truck but the tire living inside the wheel well kills me lol so I’m going to contact your guy & hopefully he point me in the rite direction & also help me with my truck at the same time (GLE63s coupe) needs longer wheel locks because I’m also running spacers on it & the oem ones don’t fit!!! Thx for the insight by the way

How'd it go? Were you able to purchase and if so, what size?

Bumping this to the top. Did anyone come up with which spacers are needed to make the Front & Rear fit flush with the 21" Wheels? My 2025 is arriving shortly and I want to add spacers & using the Ghost Lowering Links to lower the height. Thank you!
