Burmester 3D Volume Levels
Am I the only one that has to keep the volume past 50% most of the time? Maybe I’m getting deaf and/or I’m not use to the volume levels in this system, but 70% Burmester volume is roughly equal to 50% volume in my BMW HK system when it comes to overall loudness. Of course the Burmester sounds better, but I’m not use to having to keep the volumes levels so high.

^^ I noticed the exact same thing as well and have heard others say the same also. Just a characteristic of the system for whatever reason.

Volume changes
Hi all. When I use Sirius, the volume is about 45. When I use apple music through Android auto, the volume varies from 50 to 70 depending on input level and if I like the tune. So yes, my volume is up there but it does sound great. 21 gle450

Yeah, it’s the same for me. I listen to Apple Music almost exclusively, so my volume levels are way up there. It’s good to know this is normal, although the volume scaling seems more logarithmic than linear. There’s almost no relativistic change from 0 to 50 using Apple Music, at least not how I would normally expect, then it almost exponentially ramps up after that. I tried searching for an input level adjustment and found none. One thing I haven’t checked is the volume on my iPhone. Normally it’s auto maxed, but maybe it isn’t. Anyone check?
This is the only car stereo I can max volume without it distorting.

I can’t seem to find a sound setting that sounds good for both lossless CarPlay (that sounds like a whisper below volume 50) and any other source (which, as usual, is artificially boosted). This is especially pronounced for bass and mid range. I have to really crank the bass and volume up for lossless CarPlay but it’s way too much for Sirius or even FM.
Anyone else experience this?
My latest settings are: 3D, VIP: All, Bass: 6, Mid: 0 to -1, Treble, 0 to +1. This is what I use for CarPlay.
