One thing I noticed after I got my GLE back earlier this week is when I start her up, the active brake assist off icon is on in the driver's display. It will go away once the driver's seatbelt is fastened. I have also tried to change the settings with my seatbelt off, but the setting will say the function is unavailable. I had the service department check that out along with a check engine light that came on. The service department is saying this is operating as normal and is part of the new software update they did on the car.
Does anyone have a new new GLE that shows the active brake assist off icon when the driver's seatbelt is not fastened (it will be in the center bottom of the driver's display)? This seems weird because they essentially disabled an important safety feature and then enables it once the seatbelt is fastened. There are times where it would be impractical to put the seatbelt on when moving the car (like at a carwash or valeting the car).
