What does the green “Ready” mean on the 450 dash

Can anyone tell me what the green “Ready” light means on the GLE 450 dash?
I’ve talked to a few dealers and no one seems to know what it means or what it is referring to.
The dealers just bounce around and give you an answer you might buy into.

Just wondering if anyone out there knows?

The ready light indicates the engine is “on” and the car is ready to go. It appears when the auto engine shutoff is engaged. It is a signal to the driver that the engine is active despite no rpms/vibration.

^^^ This ^^^

I personally use the fuel gauge as my gauge (pun) as it’s a bigger target for me to see. It will only be lit if the engine is ready to go.
