Heated Steering Wheel Question...

Seems like mine goes off and won't come back on at times. I think I've narrowed it down to once the car warms up and it's toasty on the inside is the reason why. Other then that it does appear to work normally. I did find online somewhere that older ML SUVs would automatically switch off once inside ambient reached 86 degrees or more. Owner's manual doesn't mention anything like that however. Anyone with a heated wheel notice the same?

I have never noticed mine turning off. It typically gets too hot for me and I will turn it off. Page 108 of MY22 Owner's Manual makes no mention of it; however, everything else seems to go off on its own, therefore, it is quite possible.

I don't know if there is an auto switch off. In my W167 2020, I switch it off after 10-15 mins as I find cabin + steering heating is super quick even at 30 deg F. (below freezing)

Mine has never turned off by itself.
