Update for the communications module
Tonight I downloaded the latest map updates, then I connected the USB stick, turned on the accessory mode, then turned it off. Around that time I also received a notification on the app under Over-theAir Vehicle Updates--"Update for the communications module, This free update contains improvements for the Mercedes me connect communications module."
Despite the app reporting that it was an OTA update, could it have really been from physically updating the map data? There were three files in the download saying 'Additional Data' which was sized at 1.2GB.
And longshot...does anyone know what's in this update?

I don't know what was in the "communications module update" But we can no longer receive text messages from our Pixel 6 Pro's. The phone gets the message but the car doesn't. Is anyone else seeing that. Have tried deleting and re-pairing the phones, restarting the phone etc. Makes no difference. Some times get message from phone that bluetooth is have problem communicating.
Update. Problem fixed. A feature in Google Messages is "Chat" Chat gives you a bunch of different features. One of which is apparently not sending received messages to the car. LOL. I turned off the Chat feature and now we get messages from each other in the car again. We could get messages as we should from everyone except each other. Once I realized the only ones having the issue was us I fairly quickly isolated the problem.
