Online map update error, from mercedes me website

Anyone else have this error?



as you can see my online map update is valid.

My maps are up-to-date, but it's coming up fine for me, at least in Chrome on my desktop. I've never tried to bring it up on a phone. Since it downloads files in conjunction with a download manager that you have to install it's not designed to work on a phone. Have you tried from a desktop browser?

yes try on chrome. Firefox too.

I can not open same error on desktop.

bump,, call mercedes me connect on the issue ,, still no answer from them.

anyone else have this issue or just me ?

I see this regularly, both on my computer and my Android. Firefox or Chrome. VPN off or on, different locations.
I just wait and try again. Sometimes it's immediate snd sometimes it takes a few days.

​​​​​​Mercedes' website isn't their "Best" effort by any means.

Update, after two week with Mercedes Me, still having issue.
from Mercedes Me they still investigating.

some one please advise or share me the GLE USA map file.

The files can't be shared. They are locked and licensed to the VIN they were downloaded for. Folks who own two cars even have to download them for each car separately. Your home region should get updated over-the-air, though in the meantime, even w/o a working website. It takes a while and I usually do the manual update as it's faster, but you should see it in the Mercedes me connect app under "Over-the-Air Vehicle Updates".

my over the air show no update.
and manual download is not working,

Mercedes Me, is no hep , and case is still open.

So you never got any OTA map updates? Are the communication module updates the only once your car ever got? Are you the first owner and what year is your car?

I see. That perhaps does shed some more light on it. I suspect the services weren't correctly transferred to you from the original owner. There've been several MBUX OTA firmware updates since 2021, so you may need to stop by your dealership and have them update your MBUX manually. Also worth going back to the sales person that transferred the services to you and have them double check that they did it right. I see that your online map update service is still under the original complimentary subscription until June, so the service is still active and your car should have been getting OTA map updates.

It is kinda interesting, though. Based on your service expiration they were originally activated in June 2020 (3 year complimentary). Was this an early 2021 build?

1. i was at the dealer 2 weeks ago, with all recall and MBUX update, all done.

Also worth going back to the sales person that transferred the services to you and have them double check that they did it right. ,, i will check on this .

Was this an early 2021 build? ,,, not sure .

Yeah, I would start politely knocking the door down at your service department and have them figure it out. Demand that it gets escalated to MB/AMG. Your car is eligible for 3 years of map updates for free and the way it looks it never was updated from what came from the factory, not even for the original owner, so there's some kind of a malfunction with the system in your specific car. MBUX unfortunately was and still is buggy. Thankfully, my car runs the latest COMAND system prior to MBUX, with much of the same functionality including online updates, but it's much more mature and stable and works.

so update on the issue :This error is caused by the fact that the vehicle Head Unit is not communicating with the backend. There is an issue with the head unit.

Please make sure that in the head unit settings the WiFi/WLAN option is enabled (Settings - System - WiFi and Bluetooth - WiFi/WLAN needs to be ON).

If that does not solve the issue, please send the customer to a service visit and advise the technician to reset the internet certificate of the head unit and take the head unit again into operation.
If this still does not solve the issue please advise the workshop to create a TIPS case with a control unit logfile of the TCU (HERMES) and of the Head unit as well.

Those are 2020 campaigns. Didn't they fix that with OTA downloads in 2020?
Somebody on the Forum can help verify that, I think.

Maybe your Hermes comms module isn't working.

Your car appears to have been built in 2020 as an early 2021 model, so likely yours has the issue mentioned in the TSB and the previous owner never got it taken care of.

Did you confirm that the says it's offline and that none of the online services such as live traffic etc. are working? not sure how to check if offline or live traffic,, i do not use Nav much , but wifey do.

will update once in dealer , that is in 8may.

As listed in the TSB. Go to System then Internet status. The video below shows you how to check the Internet status in MBUX.
