Purchased a dash cam activation for $200.00 but to my surprise it only covered the front camera not the back and turns off when car if switched off .. did not like this and I think I am stuck with a useless camera, I called Mercedes me regarding the problem and they said it had 360 coverage which dealer needs to activate.. dealer said only front … definitely stuck with a useless camera

I was planning on purchasing the dashcam also since it does state we get full all around view. So it is not the case?

I have MY22 GLE450 with dashcam. It is only front view; hence the name "dash"-cam. Not sure how they can combine all the cameras into one video. I guess it would be like the 360 view you can have while driving at slow speeds.

It does turn off when ignition is turned off; otherwise it could either drain the battery, or deplete the available storage on the USB device.

Where does it state that dashcam provides 360 degrees of recording?

Dashcam only records the front.
● P82 GUARD 360 Alarm System comes with the car. (Located under Safety and Security on the Ordering Guide) - This is what does the recording for 360.
