Essentially, when I have my phone connected via cable, all the apps show car speed reading somehow, and not the actual GPS signal.
If I disconnect the phone and just open Waze or a speed app, it shows the speed pretty much the same as the tire size calculator.
I will have to code it to adjust for a bigger wheel diameter after all.

I figured out what's going on...
