MB ranks sixth among premium brands in 2023 JD Power APEAL Study
There are others that you can find by doing your own search, and there's a link in the link I just posted.
Regarding percentage of cars recalled, where Hyundai leads Ford, I posted those in another thread and I'll see if I can't find it again.
Or you could compare the number of recalls to number of cars sold, and in Hyundai's case they sold 724,265 units in '22, compared to 1,452,101 recalls, which is, surprisingly, a really big improvement for them.
You can find the Toyota / Lexus recalls at NHTSA if you can't find other sources.
Although I don’t have any Lexus in the family now, I had a long list of Lexus before switching to BMW/MB and am still very active on CL. If reliability has become an issue, I would have seen it there already. People talk about weak performance and design a lot but not reliability. Lexus is just very conservative when it comes to releasing a new product/feature. Some of these new designa have been in the work for a good decade or two before ita release. Without a doubt, I don’t think they will ever have reliability issues like Mercedez and other ones on your quoted list.

I just gave you the first one that popped up on my search.

Edit: also read my posts in this thread. I'm talking about the industry, and not individual cars, except giving the Hyundai example of how surveys can dispute each other. The recall link gives your Lexus data.
Which is my point in general: you can find surveys to support any opinion. And I recommend investigating their methodology.
If you want to talk about individual cars, then go ahead and post your own information! 😀
And BTW I never quarrelled with the results of the Power survey.
Just clarified that it's an "emotional attachment" survey, not "reliability."
Quoted from JD Power in the original post.
