GLE 53/450 OBSIDIAN BLACK

Hello
Does anyone prefer regular Mercedes Black paint as opposed to Obsidian Black paint for the GLE 53/450 as the Obsidian is free of charge now. Any thoughts appreciated.
Thank you

The obsidian will hide the swirls better because of the speckles, the swirls and orange peel are super visible on the plain black paint. Some people are into black but I won't get another black car after this GLE if I can help it. Black just soaks up the rays, makes the interior warmer, harder to keep it looking clean, swirls are super visible. I think black looks cool though but I'd rather not deal with the hassles of owning a black car. Just my two cents.

I like black, but I've always avoided non-metallic black. As said above, it shows swirls and holograms quite easily after a while. I've only owned black cars, but always metallic black as said. My C63 is Obsidian and I love the color. Like all metallic paints, it changes how it looks depending on the light. The picture below kinda captures how it changes depending on how the light hits it. Goes from a deep black to more of a charcoal.

I don't find it hard to keep clean, but I live in a mild and dry climate, so it's mostly dust that collects on the car and no harsh winter conditions with salt on the roads. My cars are garaged and over the last 4 years haven't seen much rain as I don't need to drive on a regular basis, so when it does rain I just stay home or take the wife's car which is yellow.
