Has anyone installed an illuminated star on a 2024 GLE? I just took delivery of a 2024 GLE350 and the wife wanted an illuminated star. I could not find a part number for the 2024, so ordered one for a 2023 GLE. I used part number 167-817-53-00, which appears like it would fit, if not for some tabs on the back of the star, preventing it from seating correctly. From what I can find, it appears there may be a difference in the 2024 grill from 2023. Does anyone have the correct number to fit a 2024? I'll probably call my dealer in the morning, but when I ordered this start, they did not have anything different listed for a 2024. I thought this was going to be straight forward, but it appears not so much so. TIA!

I did not. My local dealership simply stated it would not fit when they looked at installing it for me, and would be pending a corrected number. I still had the star, so ended up placing epoxy on the tabs and then clipping them shorter once the epoxy cured. It has been on a for a few weeks now, no issue.

Make sure you don't have "DA2" (Driver Assistance) package as it's not compatible with the illuminated star as per Order Guide.

I ended up working with guy on eBay and got a star for my wife’s 2024. Install was pretty straightforward and easy. I can’t believe the dealer wanted $1600 to install. The eBay seller is “euroactive”

thanks for the info, does euroactive provide installation instructions and how was the installation? im concerned from what i see it is not plug and play, i believe that you have to go direct to the fuse box. thanks again
