Did you give dealer the wheel nut socket ?

The wheel nut has the top flower shape. I heard dealers actually don't have the special socket and just use the regular hexagon socket.

Did you give dealer the special flower shape socket for repair /service ?

Dealers definitely use sockets that won't damage the aluminum flower heads on the lugs. I believe others have commented that overuse of the 17mm hexagon socket will ruin your flower head lug nuts over time. My local Discount Tire also uses flower socket on MBs.

You should still buy one to keep in your trunk should you need it. I thought these two were good, blue PT one has lifetime warranty while EWK has only one year. EWK has a nice finish and is lighter if that makes any difference. Also ordering directly thru EWK instead of Amazon should be cheaper.

Performance Tool W32927 Non-Marring Socket Set for Safe Removal of Mercedes Convex Lug Bolts with Protective Sleeves and Color-Coded Design https://a.co/d/en0xibm

You might also need a breaker bar in your trunk:
NEIKO 00206A 1/2" Breaker Bar, 1/2-Inch Drive 24-Inch Breaker Bar, Flex Head Chrome-Moly Cr-Mo, Lug Nut Wrench, Tire Bar, Cheater Bar https://a.co/d/bINqhU6

Thanks! I have both EWK and PT ones. I think the EWK one 100% perfectly fits the flower head, the PT one is a little loose.

I guess the manufacturing tolerance of the PT must not be great because the PT socket feels about the same as the EWK for me, I tested both on every single lug which was a good test because I discovered that one of my lugs is deformed so I'll get it replaced on my next service visit. Some Amazon user reviews said their PT was loose just like you. I ended up keeping the EWK and ordered it direct for $13.50:

I bought a bunch of flower shape sockets from Amazon for the comparison.
Besides EWK one, this one also perfectly fits the flower shape head:
Amazon Amazon
so I keep both EWK and this one in my car just in case one is broken and the other one can be used.
The bottom line is don't buy that green one (ATLIN brand). This is the worst one although it has highest and most reviews.

I had the same experience with the green one. It had a lot of play.

I'm happy that the 21" wheels with the Night Package came with 17mm hex bolts
One less thing to accommodate.

Plus the wheel locks are the same - hex not flower.
