Acoustic Comfort Retrofit
Though I am also taking thoughts on acoustic comfort package. If anyone got reasons not to apply them, I do want to know why too.
I plan to do mostly city driving ~30-45mph with occasional highways.

That said, while I believe it is possible to retrofit, with various insulation applications, laminated glass, etc., I just couldn't stomach paying the dealer labor invoice, when I know I could've had it installed so much cheaper at the factory.
Given these personal afflictions, I would cancel my order and re-order another GLE with Acoustic Comfort Pkg.
This is, of course, my opinion... The only subject on which I'm truly an expert.

However, there is more to the Acoustic Package than glass insulated and IR resistant glass.
There are acoustic materials added to wheel wells, interior panels and elsewhere. I see it near the rear fuse box, where I store gloves, additives, etc.
Tire noise is very muted.
I think I'd wait.
Along the same lines, I also wouldn't pass on the Burmester HD option (my biggest regret).

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I will proceed to take delivery of the vehicle and get a sense of it before I decide on retrofitting.

The side glass would be the only accessible retrofit that would make a difference. IDK if they'd make 30% of the difference, or 70% My thought would be closer to 30%.
As a side note, is there a possibility to raise the turn signal sound? My mother is paranoid at me not using the turn signals even though I already turned them on at the intersections!!
