2024 GLE 450e power query
Hi,
I am new to this forum and looking into buying 450e. While reading about the SUV, I see that combined power with motor in 381. What happens when electric power dies after 40-50 miles? Will the motor still generate the power or it will run on 2.0 liter turbo-4 and generate power same as 350?
The motor only makes 134 hp, but it also produces a very healthy 325 lb-ft of torque. It teams with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 that makes 248 hp and 295 lb-ft on its own for a total system output of 381 hp and 479 lb-ft.
Apologies if it is too basic of a query. Just want to understand how this works before investing.

If it operates like my GLE550e did, the car is always regenerating power via braking and slowing. There was always enough battery available for quick passing or acceleration. If you are planning on sustained energy for an activity like towing, you will be limited to the power the gasoline engine provides. You should also have the option to charge the battery with the gasoline engine as you drive with the associated loss of fuel economy.

I do t think that is the case or I have not found the setting to make it happen. Or I misunderstand and you are talking about something g else.
The battery save does not recharge the battery as you are driving. At least not that I can figure out. (My bmw DID).
in electric or hybrid it will run the battery until it is depleted( at least to its minimum level). The. Switch to ice.
