Brake Pads replacement 2022 GLE
Are there any issues if I get new brake pads from non-dealer shops like MIDAS, Firestone or Pep Boys.
Any one have experience in getting rotors and brake pads replaced? Do they use OEM parts?
I am a first time owner of Mercedes, worried if it voids the warranty. Car is driven only 25000 miles.

Why do you need new brake pads? I've owned dozens of car over the past 60 years and have never seen brakes worn out at 25K miles. I owned an 82 GP that we replaced the brakes at 100K just because it was turning 100K miles.

Brake job is pretty standard and any competent mechanic can handle the job. Just be aware that the tech needs to put it in service mode before the job starts.
As others have said, based on the year, it seems a bit premature for a brake job unless you are putting a good amount of miles/use on. Has your “service brakes” message appeared on the dash?
