Red face Name of missing part
I lost one half of a pin and am wondering if anyone can identify what type of pin it is so that I can order a replacement. Thanks

Often times the dealer will just give these little bits and bobs for free when you let them know at your service.

I'm a DIY, so I only stop at the dealer to buy OEM plug and filter.

That's great. They still might give it to you for free if your vehicle is under warranty. Just speak with a service advisor the next time you visit with the parts counter.

If the pin is part of the engine air intake duct, the name and part number might be:
  • Air Inlet Duct Rivet
  • 000-991-95-40

Thanks for the part number. I went to the dealer in Coral springs and purchased both clips P/N
  • 000-991-95-40
for $4.07 out the door. This has to be an all time record for buying two auto parts at any dealer. .

you can buy aanassortment kit with the tools for removing them from amazon. I have a kit for both my Mercedes.
