Climate Control

Is there any way to manually force a reset of the climate control system? The older system press and hold recirc & defrost does not appear to be the trick for this newer system.

Doubtful the old "reset" procedure did anything on the prior models.

What is the issue you are experiencing?

It blows warm air out of the passenger side vents most of the time now. Warmer than the outside air temperature no matter what setting. Auto or manual. It is only the dual zone (driver - passenger) and the rear ducts are about the same temperature as the driver side. It is going in to have the valve for the oil pressure replaced in two weeks and they said they would fix it then but it is the wife's daily driver and getting in a hot car after work is not enjoyable.

Probably a stuck blend door actuator. Try raising and lower the temperature many times to see if the actuator loosens. If that doesn't work, then only the dealer can fix it.

Which model year and how many miles on this car? Please post a photo of the coolant reservoir showing the level.

2021 63 with 47k. Coolant is topped. About 1/4" above the rim when hot. Flush with rim when cold.
I wondered if the sun sensor was the issue but it does the same way at night. Selecting MAX Defrost for a bit and then back to Auto use to get it going but not lately.

Time for a visit to the dealer. Bring your digital instant read thermometer to show the symptom, and avoid the "could not reproduce" statement from the dealer.
