I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about how small the 19in wheels look on the GLE but I was wondering if anyone has put on larger tires than the factory size of 255/50/19 and if so, what size did they put?
Also, what would be the cons of putting larger tires like 255/55/19 or 275/50/19 instead of the factory size? I’m aware it might throw off the odometer slightly and it would still have a larger space between the wheel well than the 20”s or 21”s but was wondering if there was anything else like handling or stability. Thanks all.
At least in Europe you can configure the GLE with 20" or larger tires. I think the 19" are definitely too small, the 20" I have look very nice to me. 21" will probably look better. You don't have to worry about the odometer when you buy the car with the rims, Mercedes takes care of that.

You would probably get a squishier ride and your handling would suffer.
Going too wide for the rims causes tread deformation.
I've tried that twice and in both cases wasted my money on that set of tires.
IMO a set of wheels and tires is the right way to do it.
