Curious about one thing -- the spec sheet shows :"lowered suspension -- steel springs". My SA says it's just because I didn't get the air suspension, but I'm curious why it says "lowered suspension>'

Had a Lunar Blue 2014 ML350 BlueTec with 19" wheel/rims and it drove just fine and dandy. Also owned S Models with 21'rims that road like......not so swell. NOTE: I do not sit in my driveway looking at wheel wells.

Also, the Steel "lowered suspension" has a fixed ground clearance of 8.1", which is good enough for every situation that I can think of, for non-extreme driving conditions. For long-term ownership, this is exactly the option I would go with, and skip the Airmatic and E-ABC. This has got a selectable damper (Sport or Comfort) which determines the ride firmness, and of course has the standard Double-wishbones suspension in the front, and multi-link double-wishbones in the rear, with steel coiled springs (in lieu of Air springs in the Airmatic).
The Airmatic suspension on the other hand, can lower it further in sport/sport+/ECO and raise the car in the Offroad mode.
I have 2 vehicles - one with Airmatic and one with the standard suspension, and from an overall ride perspective, don't feel any noticeable ride quality difference.

This is true for 2024 GLE63s. The 2025 models are $500. Since they are almost the same car, if you can find a 2024 with the options you like still sitting on a lot, this is a no-brainer.
Took the car home anyway LOL!!
