Just wanted to see if anything new is available or if people who got the ones off Amazon or eBay are still holding up

Not very practical unless you have a small foot. They only stick out about 2-3 inches.
However, if you're doing it for the astectics, then I am all for it. I have OEM, so I can't comment on aftermarket.

As I understand it, they cannot be retrofitted if not optioned at the factory. Anyone?
