Recommendations for Brake Pads and Rotors - AMG Exterior
The dealership advised me that I need new rotors and brake pads. Also, dealership told me my calipers are functioning properly ( even though i had extreme uneven wear and tear one 1 side). I changed out my rotors at 50k miles (now at 66k) and my brake pads 6k miles ago. Clearly the OEM parts are not long lasting. Any recommendations for a different rotor and brake pad for my 2020 GLE with AMG exterior? I need reliable parts.
P.S- I drive my car less than 180 miles a week. I also don’t drive my car erratically to cause hard braking. I respect my baby and the road.

My first opinion said my calipers are the issue and didn't want to change out the OEM pads because of the fear of the calipers piston not retracting and seizing. The second opinion was the dealership and said my calipers were functioning properly. Also, said the rotors were warped and limped and that was the issue. I have limited options here in terms of mercedes dealerships and a pain to get to the others

Brakes are not a difficult thing to check out/fix. Find an independent shop to check it out. If the calipers were not sliding properly they would wear one pad and one side of the rotor very quickly. 50k miles isn't a bad age for them depending on use but they certainly shouldn't need replacement again unless something is wrong.

Check these pads from EBC Brakes. I had them installed three weeks ago and are working great with OEM rotors.

For the rotors, you can check the Brembo (drilled front) or these slotted from Dynamic Friction.
