Been driving Mercedes over 30 years. Just bought a GLE580 so not really looking for an X5 but saw the new 2025 and found a car in inventory and asked for their BEST CASH PRICE. They knock $800 off List but then hit me with $995 TOTAL VALUE ADDS... What the hell is that? Never seen that in 55 years of buying cars. This actually ads $200 to the list and then they tell me at the bottom I got $800 OFF LIST. Then check out those doc, title and reg fees.....INSANE....
Everyone including MB dealers do it too. Adds up to hundreds or thousands of $ for crap like scotchguard fabric protection, leather protection, exterior paint ceramic spray you can do yourself, lojack, dent repair, etc.
I believe they’re standard when the 25. What I want to know is what is this value added that they’re charging me $1000 for. So instead of knocking 800 off the list they added 200.
Why are you getting quotes in cars when you just bought one?
OP just acquired not too long ago. When I was shopping and ultimately purchased, I was still getting Cayenne, X5, and other dealer GLE offers emailed for at least a month or two afterwards. Had to unsubscribe from emails to stop them.
