E Class wheels on a GLE?

I’m a little bit wheel illiterate but I like the 21” multispoke wheels on the new E class. I have a GLE on order with the GLE 21” multispoke wheels. I assume these aren’t the same size and can’t be swapped?

Attached pic is of the E class wheel.

why don’t you look at MBUSA and see if they look the same. Is the difference enough to justify the extra cost?

It’s not a matter of whether they look the same, they’re not. I’m asking if the sizing of the 21” E class wheels are the same size as the 21” GLE wheels and could be swapped.

I highly doubt it. SUV's will have a different offset due to it being a larger vehicle.

This is what I assumed too but wasn’t sure.

E-Class wheels on GLE

Here are the specs;
E-Class

GLE

The closest comparison for width and offset are the 20" GLE wheels, The E-Class fronts are 1/2" (12.7mm) narrower with a +21.5mm difference in offset; net result is they will be recessed about 15mm further. This might be cured with spacers, but the narrow width will not really accept a tire that would look suitable on the GLE, although the 19" option uses 255 width tires, so not out of the question. The rears are 1/2" wider, with a -7mm difference in offset. The net result is they will be pretty close to the GLE's in terms of fitment.

Bottom line is you can make them work, but if you are not conversant in wheel specs you need to seek expert advice.

I would also assume they have different load ratings with a GLE being at least a half ton heavier.

Should not be a factor.

You're probably right. Maybe it would matter more if they came from a C class.

If I liked those wheels, I'd get the GLE equivalent in the 53 AMG line. Not exactly the same but closer in style.
