Windshield Washer Fluid for Ceramic Coated Windshield

My 2024 GLE 53 AMG Coupe told me I need to add windshield washer fluid. I have my entire car ceramic coated, including the windshield. Also, whenever the wipers go on to remove water, the wipers will be fine when going up, but when they come down they smear the water on the windshield. I had this happen on my old GLE that got ceramic coated as well and even when the wipers were changed, they still did not perform perfectly as they would have if the windshield was not ceramic coated.

Is there any specific windshield washer fluid that works well for ceramic coated windshields? Typically I would just wait until the service and have them top it off, but this time around I did not get the service plan and my GLE 53 AMG Coupe has less than 5K miles on her.

Would ceramic coating the wiper blades help?

Standard windshield fluid should not contain harsh chemicals, so the ceramic coating should hold up fine. If you use ceramic detailer after a wash (recommended), you can also use it on the windshield to enhance/extend the ceramic coating.

Why would you ceramic coat a windshield. You are literally scrapping it off. Dont apply any coating on the glass or you'll have problems with your wipers and wasting money on the coating.

When my guy ceramic coated my GLE AMG coupe he did my old GLE 350 and he threw it. Didn’t pay extra for it.

So standard washer fluid should suffice?

Yep, standard fluid - blue, purple or whatever your dealer uses. Avoid Rain-X fluid though. It won't affect your ceramic, but it can damage your fluid level sensors.
