Enough to get me in some deep trouble.
I'm going to talk to my service advisor to find out their experience with bad diagnostics from consumer products.
That's been my experience with iCarsoft, as well, which is much more limited than LAUNCH Creader. That's why ultimately @BenzNinja and XENTRY need to be in your "toolbox". He has been able to get me out of trouble, if only through consulting because of his knowledge and understanding of Mercedes automobiles. It's fine to have a compact scanner like LAUNCH to keep in your car (I have one in each of my Mercedes) for on-the-road issues that might pop up, but for serious diagnostics, you need XENTRY. For example, here's the list of diagnostic tests you can perform with XENTRY just on the ECU (not sure any other scanner can do this):
EDIT: This was for my 2015 SL400 with the M276 bi-turbo engine. Therefore, the list shows tests for only six cylinders. Your specific car will have its own specific list of diagnostic tests. I have quite a few scanners, including Autel, iCarsoft, LAUNCH, and BlueDriver, and XENTRY is the only one I have found that can initiate the cylinder Compression Test.
If there are coupons, make sure to clip it too, I could had sworn it was cheaper than 150 before though, could be bad memory.
Bad memory. We all have them from time to time. You may be thinking of the original version, but 2.0 has always been $150 or more unless there was a flash sale at some point.
FWIW, the original version runs the same software; it just has different hardware.

I would say either Xentry or Youcanic full system scanner. Xentry is what the deaerships. Your only option is to get Xentry from China or some hacker on Facebook. Then you have to go through a steep learning curve how to use it. Have been there before. Now for 99% of my diagnostics I use the youcanic full system scanner. Diagnoses all systems and works on other cars too. Very happy with it. youcanic full system scanner live data
