Speed Alert Feature Discontinued?
So I noticed the 'Speed Alert' feature wasn't activated in the app and it showed 'Purchase' option next to it. I called MercedesMe customer service and they tell me they are getting a lot of calls on this issue. The rep said he "thinks" this feature has been discontinued.
Anyone else irritated the feature you paid for isn't no longer working?

Yes, it's been discontinued a while ago. If I remember it was discontinued already back in 2022 when I renewed my subscription the first time. I had it active for the first three years as they don't discontinue the services immediately for current subscriptions. The feature stays active until you renew, so technically if it's not available at the time you renew, then you didn't pay for it, but they don't take it away if you paid for it before it was discontinued. They need to update the app. On the web portal the Speed Alert service no longer shows up, but in the app it shows up with a Purchase link next to it, but you can't actually purchase it.

While it was available, you could set a speed and then got an alert on your phone when somebody else was driving the car and they exceed the speed you've set. It was a way to know if somebody at the dealership took your car for a joyride, or keep an eye on your driving age kids when they borrowed your car and get notified when they exceeded an absolute speed.
