where to buy lug nut spline key

had some 3rd party wheels removed yesterday once I realized that the OEM studs were in my possession after a purchase of the wheels from tire rack. the studs have a strange pattern on them and the garage that did the swap had the 'lug nut spline key' that works for the OEM wheels. the mechanic told me I could buy my own on amazon. the question is, is there a specific mercedes spline key [thats what he calls it] the the 2021 GLE 450 needs or would it be as simple as buying this:

Amazon Amazon

and more importantly where would the original that came with my GLE be in the first place? there was no spare tire.

thanks in advance.

You are looking for a "Flower" pattern socket, not "spline."

It's a 17mm socket.
This This
is the one I purchased, but many of them now have the non-marring poly sleeve.

They are German, over engineered is the name of the game. That said, I find the flower pattern pretty nice looking, all roses.

Good question. Probably appearance.
If your trim package has black lug bolts, they are the standard hex head.
