Enhanced acceleration function/procedure
Has anyone tried this? I saw it in the owner's manual. Does it make a difference?

Seems to be a procedure to be used on the track for timing purposes. I don't see a real world use for this.

Recommend just mashing the throttle beyond kickdown.

BMW referred to it as "Launch Control". An image of a checkered flag would show on the instrument cluster to indicate when you should take your foot off brake. Never had the guts to try it. Please let us know if you do.

MB also has launch control but that is "Race Start" and only on amgs, this enhanced acceleration or optimized acceleration is something else though.

oh so it's just launch control for racing. I thought it would re-map the tuning.

yes I may have mistaken "optimized" for "enhanced".

I think it's MB's way of making "Launch Control" sound elegant. It may well be slightly less aggressive as well though there are still notes about it being hard on the drivetrain components.
