2022 GLE 350 Squeak/Rattle
Black cover behind rear view mirror: Pulled down the cover for the forward view equipment behind the rear view mirror and insulated everything with 1/4" adhesive foam strips, especially the mounting tabs. You pop this thing off and then have to depress two tabs to get the center to separate. Look up videos for cleaning the windshield when you get dirty glass radar errors - they instruct on how to remove this piece. It was the source of most of my rattles
Sunglass Control Surround: Popped off the surround for the overhead controls and sunglass holder, also loading all contact points with 1/4 foam and popped it back. This also rattles like hell.
Front headliner: Popped off the headliner as much as I could at the front (there are 3-4 securement points and stuffed strips of 3/4 foam in there and popped it back. This seemed to have a pretty good impact
Passenger B Pillar: Popped off the B pillar cover and insulated the retainers and also all the way around it with foam tape. MB removes that when they do the battery ground recall and I think they never put it back securely. This also rattled.
Dash: I also stuffed foam between the dashboard screen and the dash. Not sure if this did anything but others have reported rattles from this location.
Misc: I also added foam tape to the visor and also the glove box. This was from previous experience with other cars. There is some information on MB having rattling sun visors - you may want to investigate on yours.
All of this work seems to have addressed most of the rattles. It's hard to locate them as the sound kind of telescopes around. You can also pound areas with your fist and see if that has any impact on the rattles - plus it helps vent annoyance.
Good luck.
