Hello all! With the tariff news release last week. Anyone trying to negotiate a custom build after that? I tried it with one of the dealer few days ago and asking to do a light modify for a car that they have on order, but not yet lock the spec yet. They're pretty insist no discount can be offer what so ever. I am wondering if it's because of the tariff or custom build is always none-negitable on the price. I never buy a car that is cusom build, it's just the inventory they have didn't have the spec and color I want. They don't have affliate dealer to transfer other stock. In some point they steer me into to believe they can buy a car with the spec I want from other dealer. Then change to how about build one. End with, nothing we can do. Why don't you consider the car we have in stock and we can make some kind of deal.
I currently own a Range Rover, and also use to own BMW, Lexus, Infiniti in the past. I was always able to negotiate some discount from the MSRP sucessfully.
I am thinking to try other dealership next week and ask custom build discount % online before I headover. I have never spend a half day negotiate a car and walkout empty handed.

I got $3.5k off MSRP for a new custom build - ordered in Oct, delivered in Feb. So they do negotiate on the price, even for a custom build vehicle. But to your point - maybe tariff noise has affected that.
MB of Melbourne Fl. where we bought our 580, says no tariff increases only on in-stock MBs....

Some dealers don’t discount at all on custom orders. Send messages to some more. When I ordered a GLE 63 SUV in early March I got responses anywhere between MSRP and 10% off.
