Hi, had this car from Dec 23 (30,000ks) which now has 75,000kms on it. Since purchase, about 4000kms before next service was getting a top up 1 ltr oil warning when at next fuel stop. Check gauge and shes almost below minimum. After last service, 12000kms in, she goes to Limp Mode engine warning light I checked oil and well under minimum. Towed to dealer who said clogged DPF, mentioned nil on oil and after I pushed hard they agree to investigate by removing and weighing oil over 3 intervals. Last one, after waiting for service dep to respond as was quite low on gauge, by the time i drove down recieved a message to say "Tow It" in. now they say nothing wrong, and 2lt of oil use is normal in these!!!!!! Am i dreaming?? I know modern diesel can use some oil but 2lt in 25000kms? I said, if thats the case and I drive across australia a couple of times i will not get home!!! No Mercedes drive way service in Simpson desert! Any thoughts??? Pics of guage etc below.

Your owners manual will tell you what Mercedes considers acceptable oil consumption. It may surprise you. Acceptable oil consumption for my 2024 GLE450 is 0.9 US quart per 600 miles.

yes in Australia (I’ve since purchased the online WIS/ASRA workshop manual for this vehicle and it states after drive tests if oil consumption greater than .8lt
Over 1000km is the time to do repair procedure etc. wtf!???? That’s almost a litre of oil per 1000km which fits what they are telling you. That is insane!
