I'm planning on adding a tune to my 2024 GLE 580. It appears to be only one company Renntech has one available for my vehicle. It's a bit pricy $2980 + tax. My last vehicle that I added a tune to was my 2018 GLE43. I installed a RaceChip GTS 5 for $739. I was very happy with the RaceChip tune. I went from a 0 to 60 of 5.2 seconds, to 4.5 seconds. The piggyback control box installed on the engine with several connections. It had multiple levels of control maps, one was for economy. that I observed an almost 1.5 MPG difference at highway speeds. There are also the usual generic tune's available for around $100 that all appear useless. So my question is has anyone installed the Renntech map and can report on the results here. Or does anyone know of any others that are available for this Unicorn of a vehicle. Thanks.

 

Renntech is the real deal and tunes the factory ECU/PTCU rather than being a piggyback and altering signals. It is indeed pricy, but I would do that before a piggyback system. I believe there are a couple others that will also do this but they're similarly pricy.
