2026 GLE450e - Tesla Home Charger compatibility
I just bought 2026 GLE450e and loving the car. I've Tesla Home/Wall Charger at home and NACS DC Fast Charging Adapter. When I tried to connect it to my Home charger, I see red light and doesn't charge.
I was told by service engineer that it's only good for Tesla 'Supercharger' but not Home/Wall charger. I couldn't believe it and was arguing that there should be adapter for Home/Wall charger. Is this true? Has anyone tried charging there 450e with Tesla Home/Wall charger? If so, what specific adapters did you use?
Thanks in Advance!

A Revolutionary Range Extender has been developed.
Ikea hybrid, Horse reveals drop-in range extender backed by Renault Geely and Aramco claims a new kit installs no larger than a briefcase, to extend an all EV with an ICE attachment.
Exhibited at the Munich Motor Show, the ICE extender kit is comprised of a natural aspirated 1.5 liter inline 4 gas engine.
It includes an integrated generator and inverter. The engine is rated at 94 BHP, and is designated C15.
Installation options are in the frunk or attached to the rear bumper.
For D segment models, commercial EVs, and other heavy EVs, there is a turbo 161BHP version.
Another design feature is flex fuel compatible.
The market segment opened up by this type of product is called a REEV(range extended electric vehicle).
Leave it running, while parked, and it will completely recharge the EV. As long as it has enough gas.

Range extender EV’s already exist. This is just a new OEM parts supplier offering.
A range extender can help you to limp to a charger but cannot keep up with the demand of regular EV driving.
It is a Rube Goldberg solution.
