Roof Rack Carrier Bar Fitment Question (GLS vs GLE)
I previously owned a 2022 GLS, and kept the roof rack carrier bar and cargo box system for it. The carrier bar part number is A 167-890-31-00.
I now own a 2025 GLE and want to use my MB cargo box for it. I plugged in the carrier bar part number into the online MB parts website and it says it wo'nt fit, and that the correct carrier bar is part number A 167-890-30-00 (just one digit difference). I looked up the specifications for the two carrier bars, and they appear to be exactly the same. I test fit my GLS carrier bars onto the GLE, and they appear to fit fine and snug but of course I haven't tested with the cargo box attached and at highway speeds...
Anyone know if these two carrier bars really are different, or just MB changing one number on the part designation for a new car model...?
