Question Slight stutter in all electric mode when accelerating

I just picked up the car, it has less than 200 miles on it and I've noticed that when I accelerate, at about 29 mph and then again at about 40mph there's a slight lag, almost like it's shifting gears. I've driven many other all electric, and plug-in hybrid vehicles and haven't noticed that, it's always a smooth ramp up to any speed.
I didn't think electric engine systems had more than 1 gear. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it something I should have checked out?

Unlike a true EV, The electric motor in the GLE450E provides its power to the wheels via the transmission.

And there is not a lot of HP. Our car also does that. If you want hard acceleration, put it in Sport mode.

If you want hard acceleration just step on the accelerator. The ICE kicks in on demand without needed to changing modes.

I have not needed more than electic motor acceleration in town or even on the highway, except when entering fast traffic from a ramp or passing on a 2 lane highway.

If you want ICE assist to be come on readily then drive in hybrid mode. It will still drive electric only when you are driving relaxed but will be faster to add in ICE to assist.

I’m still not comfortable with going from a cold engine to full throttle. In sport mode , at least the engine is on.

In sport mode there is no electric benefit. Hybrid uses the ICE frequently so it won’t be cold.

But is seems you have no confidence in MB engineers.

I’m talking about E mode. Stomping the accelerator, with the engine going from off to wide open.
