Can 2026 Gle 450e start in hybrid mode?
Hi everyone!
is there a way to have the car start in different mode other than electric or can it start with the last used mode? I tried changing the settings to ask during start but it still defaults to electric every time.

Unfortunately if you have car play/android auto enabled, dashcam enabled, a profile set and other digital extras enabled, it cycles through all those warnings and announcements before getting to the point when it asks if you like to start in the previous mode. It takes a long time. Without coding I’m pretty sure your only option is to wait it out then press the prompt when it eventually comes up.
That’s how I have to do it in my GT E-performance so I don’t accidentally start the engine when I’m just heading up the road to do some shopping.
My problem is the opposite of yours, I want electric, but the same rules and procedures apply..

Note: "Function off (plug-in hybrid)" doesn't work in my GLE. In any case electric mode is started.
