just wondering whether anyone has undertaken this retrofit. I have extensive knowledge of what's needed in the VAG world for this type of retrofit (I have done it on several Audi Q7s) but not in the Mercedes world. I was wondering where I can get my hands on any literature showing the required modules and their pinouts. This information appears to be located across lots of different sources unlike in the VAG world where the factory PDF contains all this information.

Also, I assume the hardware would need online syncing to my car (Like VAG component protection) to make it available to the car for use? I have the mid range NTG6 MBUX Option Code 548 in the car (2019 model)

After more research I understand that the DVB-T2 module (or Japanese version) is integrated into one of the boards on the MBUX-HIGH (the country specific board). My question is, what form of SCN is required when upgrading from a 548 to a 549... Are most of the "features" carrier across from 548 to 549 to enable them on the 549? I assume some of the coding can be done with DTS.. The antenna installs may be another story..

How much does "free" cost?

Are there people offering as a service SCN/FBS4 online services to swap out a HU6? ideally remotely using an OBD2 dongle etc..?
