Build Timeline Question
Trying to get a little better understanding of when my build might be completed...I wasn't able to find a complete answer anywhere else in the forum so I thought I'd throw the question out to see if anyone knows better than I could find! I ordered a GLE450 back in mid-November through a broker, got my PO sheet and confirmed everything was good. The expectation set was that the vehicle would likely be delivered sometime in mid to late February. Normally, none of this would matter and I'd just wait until they tell me the car has arrived but my final lease payment of my current Mercedes is Feb. 23rd and I'm eligble to have up to the last 3 waived to 'pull ahead' with a new lease, so I'm hoping to get lucky and it arrives before my final payment. I do plan to call MB Financial and see about pushing my payment back to the latest day possible in February but had some questions on the PO sheet build dates.
PO Sheet lists a production date: 1/15/2026
Decade planned: 26/01-3
Decade scheduled: 26/02-1
I understand what decades are (10 day production blocks) but as you can see, none of the dates actually overlap so I'm unsure which should be most relied on. I know these dates are also subject to change but hoping someone knows more about the production process that might be able to help me understand which date or decade is most likely accurate. I read in some places that the 'production date' is the anticipated build completion date but that doesn't coincide with either decade planned or decade scheduled. I do also plan to ask for an update later this week to see if there is any information in Netstar that might give a clearer picture of when it might arrive. I know at the end of the day, it'll be here when it gets here and it is what it is, but any knowledge anyone can share would be greatly appreciated!
