Blank dashboard
3000 miles, 4 months owned.
Today - driven 10 miles to shopping center.
Parked 30 min. Started the car and within seconds, the glass dashboard goes blank. Still displays warnings such as start/stop, brake and gear setting. No tach, no speedometer, no tank level.
Adjacent infotainment display lit fine.
Shut off and on several times to no avail.
Called MB Customer Support - no help, just drive or tow to dealer. And I am 900 miles from home.
Drove 10 miles to the location I am staying on this trip with blank dashboard. Parked and locked. Wait a few seconds. Unlock, start the engine and the dashboard is lit and revived.
So it goes in the age of glass cockpits. This time maybe a transient fluke, but if it fails hard, a major disruption of vehicle use.
In my case it was a completely blank screen, no cabin turn signal noise (was working though), parked overnight and resolved in the AM. If you want to force a hard reset, move the drivers seat all the way forward, access the negative battery terminal, disconnect negative for 20 min and reconnect.

I wouldn't bother with disconnecting the battery unless it happens regularly.
