GLE 350 Center Vents no hot air?

Got my GLE350 in Nov 2015 and noticed today that when I turn on the heat there's no air coming out of the center air vents. Rear and side vents are fine. Anyone know if I pressed a wrong button? Or how I can fix it? There can't already be a problem with a brand new MB right?

It's my first Benz. My last car was a Toyota but that worked fine for over 10 years until this GLE 350.

There is a button on the right side of the control... just left of the passenger side temp control. the button is on the bottom row pushing the button changes the air flow options. I actually had to look in the owners manual.. I've never change it in the month I've owned mine... it's on page 133 if you're interested.

Are you looking at the GLE manual? Because when I go to page 133 it's just an index for Driving and Parking. Do you have a picture of the button you're talking about? I'm so clueless when it comes to cars

I'm using the one I downloaded from the Mercedes site. the numbers are a bit weird because in the adobe pdf page version it says page 132 but it the image 130 of the manual driving and parking is on 144 so try a few pages before in your book.

Okay I see it now. It's button #9 right?
Does this button turn on when you put it on Auto? For me I have to press button #9 for the central vent to turn on. Otherwise on Auto nothing comes out the center vent. Is this the same for your GLE?

With some of the newer MBs, when you select "auto" on climate control all the air from center vent is deflected to other routes such as windscreen, feet etc. I don't know about your particular model but try turning the "auto" mode "off" and see.

On AUTO setting the car determines what vents to use for what.. at least my ML did I'm sure the GLE is the same. When the system calls for heat it blows mostly below on your feet and some out the sides. When you need cooling in the summer the car chooses the upper vents instead of the lower. The button is really there if you want to override the auto settings and choices of vents.
