Have an ML but about the same. My Valentine is mounted to the left and up from the rear view mirror. Run the wire inside the headliner and plugs direct into the OBD port with option plug for the V1. Keeps rear detection possible and it's totally out of the way. Use the V1 windshield mount by the way.Originally Posted by johnnyderm

On Board Diagnostics port. Under dash on driver side. Dealer plugs computer in for codes. Or you can! Either way I'm not sure Passport has that plug. Valentine has a plug in option. Easiest "hardwire" there is.Originally Posted by BACnMercedes

OP was asking about a radar mount solution, not a solution for the power source. That said, the V1 SAVVY OBD power source does seem like an easy way to power up your radar detector w/o using a 12v receptacle, or needing any knowledge of wiring at the fuse box. Since the detector connects to the SAVVY with an RJ11, any detector with that connector could use this, not just V1. I still plan to have my trusted stereo shop hardwire mine to the fusebox to get all of the hardware completely out of the way, like I have always done.

I just put it on the dashboard in the center and use the suction cups to hold it from sliding.
I move the detector between cars, so want it easy moveable. In my sedan, who uses it the most, I hid a cable, who goes from cigarette lighter socket to glove compartment, where I have 4-way splitter for detector, camera and other stuff. All the wires are hidden behind moldings, but that make them hard to move.
So when I need detector in GLE, I just use phone cables as power cable for Valentine One.
