No. We were expecting it Monday or tuesday. It got here late Friday and we picked it up this morning. It was one of the easiest car buying experience I've ever done!

I just got a call from my dealer saying that the option U09 (MB TEX Wrapped dashboard and door panel) for GLE Coupe 450 will be cancelled due to limited supply. My production is this month. Can anybody confirm this?

I haven't heard this and my dealer is closed today. What did they say they would use instead of the MB Tex?

My order is done from another country so it's difficult for me to judge if my dealer is giving me an accurate information. If anybody in USA can help me confirm this, it would help a lot!!!

Without the U09 option, the upper dashboard will still be wrapped in MB Tex, but the lower part of the dashboard and door sills will be leather textured plastic.

You can push back on your dealer and they will delay your order until you get the dash you want. I wasn't really given a reason, I just presumed lack of supply. Or you keep the same build date and drop the U09 option.

I just got a call from my dealer today and my gle450 is already in production, order date 1/29 build date 3/15 so I don't understand how yours can be pushed back.....I think u need to give your dealer a call.

True, and good build! Did your dealer give you a delivery date as well? My dealer said my production date is March 20th buts its locked in and I can't make any changes so I'm hoping he is playing it safe and going to try and pull the "hey, it arrived early"

Thanks! no date just a 4 to 6 week window after the build date.......I do think he is just playing is safe, I was thinking the same about my dealer when he gave me my dates.

Wow, 4-6 weeks seems very long. My dealer said 2 weeks but I'm hearing closer to 7-10 days after the build date. Good luck and post some pics when it arrives.

Yes that's what I said, but I think they are just playing it safe, especially with the date I'm seeing on here. Good luck to you as well.

You can perform a search in the forum with U09 and there are photos in the GL forum.
U09 is a special order in the US. I believe U09 replaces U08 when you order because it covers what U08 has and adds more.

When i ordered at the beginning of the year, I had the same problem. At first U09 pushed my order back 4 weeks and then there was a perpetual delay in getting the U09 mb tex dash added into a confirmed build.

How long did the option delay your order in total? Or did you choose to drop it? I know it might not be the same for my order, but I just wanted a reference point so I can decide to wait or drop.

Just heard from the dealer and he told me my GLE450 entered into production today and gave me the VIN number. Hoping to have it arrive next week. How long did the process take for everybody else once they received the VIN number?

Anyone thinking about ordering a GLE 450 should think twice now. The GLE 450 is definitely going to be called GLE 43 AMG now. The question is, if it will get the same engine as E43. MB just announced that 2017 E43 will have the same engine, but bigger turbos and software to squeeze out extra 34 HP.

I put my GLE63 SUV (not coupe) build in Jan 15th. Dealer didnt confirm it was in until about Jan 20 and said it will be a April 15th approx delivery. So about 3 months for me. I know it's a different model, but also build in same factory I think in 'Bama.

As an update, dealer now confirmed my GLE63 doesnt go into build until April 10th... bummer, have to wait even longer.

Got a call from the dealer today, car is built and on the ramp......don't know what on the ramp means but it sounds good lol......the ETA is this Friday 3/25 but said to give it an extra 5 day's just in case, i also got the vin number. march 29th makes 2 months since i put the order in ill post some pics if i do get it friday.
