Connecting an iPad to rear entertainment system

What are the ways I can connect an iPad to the rear entertainment system so the video shows up on the screens and the audio will play through both the headphones or the vehicle audio system? Thanks! (I wish these vehicles had an HDMI port like my current vehicle!)
